What I did wrong
Back in 2012, I hired my first salesperson following my tried-and-tested way of hiring social media managers. Fresh out of university, comfortable online, eager to learn, great at writing and instantly likeable. I hired on character and trained on skills. Turns out this didn’t work with sales.
