According to the 36th annual Forbes list of the world’s billionaires, in 2022 there were 2,668 billionaires with a total net worth of $12.7 trillion. This is down 97 members from 2021.

There are 8 billion people in the world, so billionaires make up just 0.00003335%. A tiny proportion of people. Also according to Forbes, in 2021 the world’s total net wealth hit $431 trillion. So 0.00003335% of the people on the planet hold 2.95% of the population’s total worth.

Many of these individuals inherited this wealth, but others amassed it over their own lifetime. These people are doing things differently. They are thinking differently, they are taking alternative actions. They are using the resources at their disposal to create wealth on a colossal scale.

These people aren’t buying courses, signing up for get-rich-quick schemes or taking the advice of strangers on TikTok. But what are they doing? From studying the actions and the books they read, here are five actions many of the world’s billionaires have taken to get them where they are.
