Every week I’m running open Zoom sessions for Coachvox AI creators and people thinking about signing up.

To help them get up and running with an AI version of them, start generating leads, adding more value to their audience, or even charging for access, every week we share open Zoom hours where they can turn up and have a 1-to-1 with me.

No booking is required, they simply click the Zoom link within the times specified. They join the waiting room and I let them in when there’s a space.

After hitting on this method of helping our creators, I tested doing it the regular way. I opened a Calendly account and let people book 15-minute slots.

The difference in outcomes was crazy. Here’s what happened:

Open Zoom: people are super grateful you are available to help
Booked Zoom: 30% don’t show up at all

Open Zoom: creators are respectful of duration, knowing others are waiting
Booked Zoom: they always fill the allocated time

Open Zoom: creators are succinct and deliberate about what they want
Booked Zoom: they show up without knowing their question

Verdict?

Open Zooms are excellent. The number of people you can truly help, in an efficient way all-round, without anyone having to book into a calendar or be held to a set time, makes it a valuable business endeavour.

“At whatever time works for you, join the open Zoom. If not, no worries, just join next week.”

Booking your time in 15-, 30- or 60-minute slots can zap your energy and leave you fragmented. For everyone who is stoked to be there, another feels rushed or doesn’t show.

In the open Zooms, people are there because they want to be there at that very moment. The sessions are intense and high-energy. Helping people one after the other is kind of addictive.

So here are some questions for you:

  1. How can you make your business more on your terms?
  2. How can you find the win-win offerings that your customers love?
  3. How can you get closer to your customers without costing your energy?
