It’s seen as a good thing to be persistent. Not to quit. To never give up.

But where’s the part where we make sure that what we’re fighting for is really what we want?

There’s little sense in persistence for the sake of persistence. Winning a negotiation that you didn’t care about in the first place. Proving someone wrong on something trivial and gaining only resentment. Finishing a piece of work that won’t ever matter.

Sometimes it’s better to just let go. To swallow your pride and walk away. To cut losses and transfer energy elsewhere.

Better to take persistent action towards what you truly want.
