I hear this a lot.

Here’s the truth: it’s completely false.

There are plenty of examples of successful businesses that were started by people who were definitely not twenty something:

Reid Hoffman started LinkedIn at 35

Vera Wang didn’t start until she was 39

Henry Royce of Rolls Royce was 41

Ray Kroc of McDonalds was 51

Anne Boden of Starling Bank was 54

Charles Flint of IBM was 61

Colonel Sanders of KFC was 65 when he sold his first restaurant to focus on his fried chicken recipe.

You don’t suddenly stop functioning properly when you hit an age that you consider to be “old”.

You can still speak to people

You can still make sales

You can still develop a product

You’re still passionate about your topic

You are never too old to start a business.
