Ten laws are at work in your business today.
You did not sign up for them. You cannot opt out. They are all learnable.
I found them in a book from 1925. I adapted them for business owners.
Here is how that started
Here is what I changed
It came out on Monday and it's ready for you here.
Here is what each law costs you while you do not know it.
1. The game
You rehearse the worst case in the shower, on the drive, and at three in the morning. You call it planning. Those hours have a cost, and you paid it for nothing.
2. The law of prosperity
Money feels tight so you hold on to it. You cut the spend, delay the hire, save what you were about to invest. It leaves you anyway, in a less fun way, at full price.
3. The power of the word
You say the quarter will be hard and the people around you start planning for a hard quarter. Nobody argues with you. Then it happens.
4. The law of non-resistance
A client left badly and you are still arguing with them in your head. You have the emails saved and the case built. What you fight, you keep.
5. Karma and forgiveness
The same thing keeps happening to you. You ask who keeps doing this to you. Ten years ago you did it to someone else.
6. Casting the burden
You have had the same problem for months and you keep working at it alone. The answer comes the day you stop trying to force it, never before.
7. Love
You chase the customer who is leaving and stop noticing the one who stayed. Then you lose the one who stayed.
8. Intuition
You already know the answer. You cannot hear it over the podcasts, the group chat, and the request for one more week of data.
9. Your design
There is work that is yours alone. You have never gone looking for it, so your days stay survivable and your wins stay small.
10. Denials and affirmations
Money is tight. I am always behind. I am not that kind of closer. You said one of them out loud this week. Your subconscious took it as an instruction. Give it better ones.
I have broken every law on this list. Some of them twice.
All ten are at work. Some cost you more than others. The ones you notice first will change your game.
Each law has a chapter. Each chapter has the stories, the mechanism, and the words to use instead. Ten chapters. Read one a night.
