When I’m not working or relaxing I’m most likely to be training.
As a competitive powerlifter I compete within the British Powerlifting federation in the under 57kg (125lbs) bodyweight category and have represented Great Britain internationally.
Powerlifting is a fun sport and competing involves squatting, bench pressing and deadlifting the heaviest weight possible for a single repetition.
In business, turnover is vanity and profit is sanity. In powerlifting, gym lifts are vanity and competition lifts are sanity.
My current gym maximums are:
- Squat: 145kg/320lbs
- Bench: 97.5kg/215lbs
- Deadlift: 185kg/408lbs
- Total: 427.5kg/943lbs.
In a competition they are:
- Squat: 142.5kg/314lbs
- Bench: 92.5kg/204lbs
- Deadlift: 180kg/397lbs
- Total: 412.5kg/909lbs.
Competition Wilks points: 480.40 (bring on 500!)
UK ranking for 2021: 14th
The wonderful people at Mirafit invited me in to discussing powerlifting for a documentary.
