You have every tactic.
Now decide what you want.
Five sessions gave you the how. This one gives you the why. Your why is a question you keep asking. Find the question and every decision becomes obvious.
Five sessions. What got built.
Quick check of where you are today, and what is outstanding.
Brand guidelines and dream client
Who you are for, what you sound like, what you look like. The document you would hand to anyone who works with you.
You should have: a brand guidelines page and a detailed dream client document.
Your client flow, improved at every part
Every touchpoint from the first time somebody hears your name to the moment they refer you.
You should have: a flow map, with touchpoints rebuilt to the standard you set.
A media page that makes you easy to book
Topics you speak on, bio in three lengths, headshots, past appearances, a way to contact you.
You should have: a live media page on your own domain, linked from your main navigation.
A system that gets people back to you
A list of the people you want, a sequence that sounds like you, and the automation that means it happens.
You should have: scheduled tasks set up, drafted sequences, and messages that have gone out.
A proven plan for rapid growth
The people who grew fast and what they did, the analysis you run on your own space, and the one skill you build.
You should have: your outlier analysis, your skill, and a posting rhythm you can keep up.
Build the assets.
The more formulaic the process, the more you need a reason
A good system removes decisions. That is the point of it. The side effect is that you can run the whole thing without ever asking whether you want what it is producing.
What happens without an anchor
You open the app and someone is telling you to post daily. Someone else is telling you that posting daily is dead and you need a newsletter. Someone with a bigger audience than you is doing the exact opposite of what you planned this morning, and it is working for them.
So you copy. Not because you decided to, but because the alternative is sitting with the discomfort of not knowing. Copying is what we do instead of choosing.
And every time you copy, you take on somebody else's definition of what success looks like. You end up building a business that is very well optimised for a life you never said you wanted.
Ten thousand followers. Six figures. A book deal. Goals are useful and they are also finite. You hit it, you feel flat for a week, and then you need a new one. A goal cannot tell you what to do today when the goal is eighteen months away.
Written once, put on the about page, never read again. Statements are for other people to read. They are declarative, so they close the conversation. Nothing about a statement makes you interrogate the thing in front of you today.
The most seductive one, because it feels like progress. You already have more tactics than you can execute. Another one does not resolve anything. It gives you one more thing to feel behind on.
What works.
A question. Not a statement, not a target. Something you can hold up against anything and get an answer from. It works on a decision, a post, a client, a five year plan.
A statement tells you who you are. A question tells you what to do next. That is the whole difference, and it is why the last five sessions were about the how and this one is not.
For every answer, a question retrieves it
You have the brand, the flow, the media page, the outbound, the growth plan. You can make anything happen. Now find the question that centres your actions.
What a real question looks like
Short. Open. Uncomfortable at least some of the time. Here are six. They lead to six completely different businesses. One of them is more true for you than the other five.
Answer fast. Nobody reads these. Your first answer is more accurate than your third, because your third is the one you have made presentable. Saved automatically.
Scroll up. Read all eight in one pass, out loud if you can. Something repeats. It always does.
One sentence. Ends in a question mark.
Write it so you could ask it of a post, a client and a whole quarter. Find the question that retrieves every answer.
Three tests before you keep it
| Test | What it means |
|---|---|
| It scales down | It works on small things too, not just big ones. |
| It changes things | Run it against three things you did last month. If it changes none of them, it is not a question, it is a slogan. A good question rules out work you were already doing. |
| It survives a bad week | Imagine the launch flops and two clients leave. Is the question still true? If it depends on things going well, it is a mood, not a centre. |
Write your question first
This tab turns your question into decisions. Without the question there is nothing to work back from. Go to tab three, do the eight prompts, write the sentence.
Now ask it of everything.
You are not starting from the tactic and hoping it fits. You are starting from the question and letting it decide which tactics survive.

- What you want →
- Work backwards →
- Pick the tactic →
- Ask the question again
Is each part optimised for your question? Write what changes. Some will not change at all, which is a useful result.
One thing you start, one thing you stop, one thing you change.
Pressure test it with AI
This prompt builds from everything you have written on this page. Paste it into Claude or ChatGPT. It is designed to argue with you, not agree with you, so expect it to be uncomfortable.

What to do when the noise starts again
It will. Somebody will post something next week that makes your plan look wrong. That is not new information, it is just a louder version of the thing that has always been there.
Ask your question. If the new thing passes, consider it. If it does not, it is somebody else's answer to somebody else's question, and it is not for you.
Your centre, on one page
This builds itself from what you wrote. Print it, screenshot it, put it where you will see it. When you are three scrolls into a feed and starting to doubt yourself, it is one click away.
